As the 2020 Annual Report was published, we never thought that a year later we would be writing again about a year having to deal with the COVID pandemic. But here we are. Needless to say, it has continued to prove a challenging time. The PepSea team have continued to work with dedication and energy to bring support to the coastal communities of Malapascua that have seen their lives turned upside down.

As 2021 draws to a close, we can reflect on our work with an enormous sense of pride as well as a sense of excitement for what is to come. Along with updates on the continued success of all our community programmes, the 2021 Annual Report introduces the new partnerships that we have developed over the past year that will provide the opportunity to widen the scope of our work with Filipino coastal communities.

We are particularly pleased to announce the development of a second People and the Sea site on the neighbouring island province of Biliran. With the intial work having already begun, you can expect to see regular updates on this exciting new venture throughout the coming year.
